You're fine, God planned for you to find it. Think about it this way, at some point in the past or in the future misfortune either came your way or will and this sort of balances it. In addition the gold dealer may have been going through some tough times and now he has that perfect item for that client that was looking for just the right thing and...
Add to that someone needs something to brighten their day and that little gold chain will make their day.

Finders keepers, when there is no ID attached. I found $100 laying on the ground at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Tx, last year. With the hundreds of thousands in attendance, an owner wasn't going to be found. Ended up paying for my food and gas. Not bad...tp
