top end gone and idle issue
Hi there:
been lurking on the this board for a while and finally have a problem I can't seem to figure out.
Bike = 97 Wide Glide. Screaming eagle jet kit, straight-thru VH pipes, 12K, always ran like champ
Haven't been on it for 8 months or so. Started it up and fuel was leaking out of the fuel supply valve.
Replaced with standard HD part (aftermarket was on it originally). Starts fine, but idles like crap and top end disappears over 4K RPM. No backfire, just no power. Feel like it's not getting enough gas or vacuum or something similiar. I have to throttle it down to 2K to keep riding.
I've drained the tank, put in fresh high octance fuel with some seafoam. Ran it without gas cap to see if that was plugged. cleaned/checked spark plugs.
other places to look? Do stage 2 kits need high flow fuel supplies valves?
Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks!
