Hey guys I'm going to put some burly narrow glide apes on my '12FXDC and can't decide between the 12's and the 14's.I want my hands right about shoulder height I'm 5'9.Can somone help me decide, I sat on the bike and tried to measure ,but I'm not sure exactly how to do that acurately.Thanks for the help.

I'd guess 12s you being 5'9, but what you can do sit on the bike with your arms straight out or how ever you want to ride and have someone else run a tape from the riser to your hand. Should give you rough idea.

I'm thinking 12" will be the way to go, I'm running 12" Biltwell Apes and they come a few inches below my shoulders, but I'm 6' and have a slightly taller than stock seat.

I'm thinking 12" also... I'm 5'11" and my buddy has 12" apes on his street bob. It has a good feel to it.

Im about the same height as you and Im comfortable with 12. 14s look cool though

12's on mine also, check the rise & end rise some 14's maybe only 12/13 end rise.

Also check the width. Narrows are designed for sportster front ends. "narrow glides ". Of you put them on your bike IMO it will look silly. Need a wider base for a mid glide.

I'm 5'8" and I have 14's (road 6 customs) and they are perfect.
