I know there are tons of threads about cams but I just need some opinions.
2010 FXD Stock motor, high flow air cleaner, RB Racing pipe... I'm weighing options on cams.
I have a sportster that runs SE 575s and when I jump on the Dyna it just doesn't seem to have the torque/power in the mid to high rpms. I know, I know... completely different bikes and builds.
But, is there a cam out there that will get me close? I want to go into head work and high compression pistons as of yet.
I tend to ride in upper rpms, don't know why, I guess to me it seems easier to slow the engine and easier to up shift for maneuvering.
I saw Andrews makes a new TW57 cam. Supposed to be the same specs as the 37, but it has .560 lift. You will only get so much with a stock engine. A high rpm cam will be a dog without high compression and head work. The 57 should work well enough with a 96" and stock compression though. Would be better if it had a little more. Maybe use a .030 head gasket.
