Very cool idea!
I can't tell from the picture butdid you put some sort of cover over the stereo to protect it from rain?
What size speakers would fit?
I can see you selling a few of these.

.................................................. ..................................
so since i do alot of prototype work on concept vechilesand
work with all diffrent kinds of materails.from metal, plastics, wood ,clay and so on.
.................................................. ...................................
so i built a vacuum form machine,it took me awhile to make the machine and the molds.
.................................................. ..................................
.so what you guys think?
Nice work jackyl. Very nice.

I am a modeller/moldmaker, so I can really appreciate the effort.

Your trade allows you to realize a dream.
Whether it is yours or a clients, makes no difference.
I can make anything except a pure blooded WildCat kitten.
Looks like you can too.

The boombox housing should be extremely marketable.

How much does it cost to build a vacuum forming machine??

Keep up the good work.

mud

it costed me about 500.00 to make the vac machine, about 6 months to develope the machine.alot of reading.building it was the easy part.research was the pain.ill be marketingthe caseswhen iam done.ill prolly just sell the cases, not with the radio, because people have diffrent taste in stereo equipment.i love kenwood others like alpine or pioneer.so ill let them decided that part.thanks mud for appericating my work.because i have apperciated your work you have done and posted to.me and your mind work alike.wish you were in michigan,i would invite you to my shop to do some work together.thanks mud

Way cool Jackyl! Any idea what sort of price range this unit might be? Love to find something like this for my wife's Street Bob.........I do custom woodwork, but doesn't seem practical to do something out of wood for a bike radio!
