Wow excellent idea and it sure turned out great. Only thing I can see to figure out is getting it hooked up for power which can't be as big a hurdle as coming up with your prototype. I'm over in Battle Creek and am very much interested....later

I am a modeller/moldmaker, so I can really appreciate the effort.

Your trade allows you to realize a dream.
Whether it is yours or a clients, makes no difference.

Keep up the good work.

i will run a hotwire with a fuse from the battery to the case, with a trailer connector on the end.so you can disconnect the case when ever you want to.

Way cool Jackyl! Any idea what sort of price range this unit might be? Love to find something like this for my wife's Street Bob.........I do custom woodwork, but doesn't seem practical to do something out of wood for a bike radio!
i havnt really sat down and priced out thematerails and labor costs to come up with a price yet.but i would like to keep it around 100.00 -125.00 for the cases.so itcan be affordable for everyone.not trying to become a millionaire .some companies sell cases similar to this one for 300-500 each.iam not out to rape people like that.so i figured that would be a fair price for mine

it costed me about 500.00 to make the vac machine,
about 6 months to develope the machine.alot of reading.
building it was the easy part.research was the pain.

.wish you were in michigan,i would invite you to my shop to do some work together.thanks mud
I've seen a few vac tables, I assume that's what you have built.

Only 500 bux, you musta already had a vac pump.

Know what you mean about the building part, that's fun.
Tuff part is all the figuring, and yeah research.

I'd like to take you up on the shoptime, appreciate the offer.
If you ever get down to south Texas, come on by my studio here.

jackyl, What are your thoughts on speakers? device pre's, and amp? I really like your mounting design, but the true problem on a harley sound system is the electronics..Even with ear buds and a powered preamp. its hard to get any quality at the volumes required to be heard over a good set of pipes.. If you can come up with the right electronics ,, you might really be on to something,,,
Please keep us informed..
