I'm seriously considering a FF (Arai fits my head shape best).
Have a question to those that ride them year around. The dealer says a FF should be cooler in the Summer due to much more vents compared to my HD branded HJC half helmet. Any truth to that, or just salesman BS?

In the summer its hotter in stop and go traffic. Cooler once you get moving because the sweat evaporates and makes things much cooler. In the winter it keeps your face from freezing and for me it lets me ride longer. My commute is just over 100 miles a day and i ride every day it doesn't rain.
I have an HJC FS-15 matte black. It was a good lid for about a year when chin vent broke and the foam seemed to shrink. Now it bobbles at 80MPH+.
Also have an Arai Quantum II. My dome has more of an oval shape and this is the best fitting lid I've ever had. Its last years model I got on sale for $380.
Fit is the most important thing when choosing a lid. Buy last years models and save yourself around 50%.
I rode a few years with a Shoei RF1000 but recently switched to Shoei X11...lighter race helmet and I love it! Besides this old man likes to hit the drag strip once in a while and most tracks require a FF.
Im wanting to switch over to a full face. I ride in all conditions, cold, hot, rain. I was wondering what most of you full facer's were wearing. FYI money really isn't a issue. I'm looking at the Shoei Qwest.
***FYI I know this will open a can of worms. Until you've buried someone you love because of a negligent cager, please don't. Has me thinking of a little more safety on my end. I really don't want my wife and kids spending my life insurance just yet....
Oval to Round Head: Shoei Quest
Intermediate Oval: Arai RX-Q
Long Oval Head: Arai Signet or Profile
PS: Consider getting an optional tinted visor as well, they are really nice to have is sunny weather and nicer to wear than dark glasses, plus you can swap visors in 30 seconds.

I wear an Arai Profile, a Fulmer half, or a KBC 3/4 depending on the weather. The Arai is the most comfortable helmet I have. As to it being cooler than a half. I'm not sure about that. Last summer I rode from VA to Miami during the East coast heat wave in August. It was HOT. There was no relief, and I was wishing I had my half helmet with me. Even a 3/4 would have been cooler. Most of the ride I was screaming down I-95. (Had to get back to work.) I live in Miami, and rain is a regular occurrence here, face protection is a must.
If you aren't using a windshield, a helmet with aerodynamic features will help. I like my Shoei X-11 and is much better than the Shoei that I had previously without the aero features.
