Help with value

With this bad economy I had to give mine away and all I got were low class idiots that were interested. The first guy didn't like the sound of the head bearing. I told him it was fine and I would adjust it but he said he would only buy it if I replaced it. So a week later after all the time and expense, then he said it was too much money. I told him to take a hike. The next guy wanted to trade his sportster straight across for my 2009 Road Glide. Like that's going to happen! I kindly said no thanks and he flipped out and left. The next guy wanted his mechanic to tear it apart to check for "problems." I said he could only open the inspection covers; he never came back. Three months later I finally sold it to a vet for $10,000. At least he will take care of it. Good luck.

According to NADA low retail is 11,200 high retail is 14,000. Kelley Blue book says a retail value of 13,725 and says trade in value of 10,125. I think you could sell it for 12k but you might be able to get more to the right buyer with the accessories and upgrades you got on there. Location also makes a difference as well, not sure where you live but coming into the fall is not a good time to sell in most areas of the US obviously best time would be late winter into early spring.
