I wanted to vote for the Supertrapp, but its not on the list. The pipe I have has been said to be one of the best pipes made for a Harley. It has an end cap and tuneable discs like the supertrapp. Unfortunately they don't make it anymore and the discs are impossible to find. I run it open and it sounds great. If or when I go with a big bore, I will probably change the muffler to a supertrapp S/C Elite on the White Brothers header. This way I can tune it.
I had 3 different two into 1's on the Dyna. the Thunderheader had the best sound but the worst finish and the mounting bracket cracked on me twice. The V&H propipe was good but it was chrome. I now have the black D&D fatcat which has by far the nicest fit and finish although I needed to add a few spacers to the mounting bracket for it to not hit my rear axle which is on backwards for easy removal of the rear wheel. I have the D&D "quiet" baffle which is not quiet, but not quite as deep as the Thunderheader sounded. Power wise it seems that the Thunderheader and fatcat are quite close to each other. The V&H had better top end than bottom end for some reason on my bike.
If you want a pipe with great power that is not too loud the Supertrapp is the choice. I you want a bit of a louder sound pick from the other 3 I talked about although I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I'd still be running the TH if the bracket didn't crack and then crack again after being welded up.
I guess I do need to clarify. I am looking for performance first. My bike is only Stage 1 so, ultimamately, performance is not that big of a factor between these pipes. Looks, fit n finish is crucial! Spending $600 plus for something that will fade or rust in 2 years is not a viable option.
What everyone is saying about "best" is correct. I'm not looking necessarily for feedback on the best as everyone will state their own respective exhaust is the best, but the most popular. All my friends run the Thunderheader. Sounds great, finish is ok, but I want something a little more original.
As far as the Pro Pipe, not really the right look I'm going for. A little too long and low, where I hear it scrapes easily.
Look hard at the D&D Fat Cat.....The Fit, Finish, all around quality and the Sound are all great as far as I'm concerned. The Price is competitive. I ride pretty hard and have never scrapped the exhaust. My riding buddy has the Vance and Hines Big Radius and he has scrapped metal a couple times...they do sound sweet though.
This subject has been discussed quite frequently, and I have gone through most of the threads, but still can't decide.
I currently have a '11 FXDB with Stage 1 (Big Sucker, Dobeck piggyback, V&H Big Shots) and looking for a new set of pipes. I'm really looking for a set of pipes that are good all-around the power curve, but more so for torque. Sound is not that much of a factor, but looking for something on the quieter side.
I voted Thunderheader, but for torque you're better off with a Supertrapp.
Bassani pipe is all top-end. Guy with same build as mine made 10 more hp, but almost 10lbs less torque.

If you want original, check out Hacker Custom Exhaust. The War Header or Track Tuned. I think they're in/near Santa Cruz or Boulder Creek. Definitely won't see another one out there in your area.
