some have touched of shape, but all FF helmets are not equal. Shoei tend to be ROUND. Arai have both round and long oval shapes available. I found the Scorpian 1000 is also a long oval fit, with an air pump fit for cheeks. Arai Profile are long oval if you need that shape.

The Arai Profile is discontinued and replaced with the Arai Signet-Q also with a long oval interior shape. Very nice helmet.

Fits me well, modular, and you can remove the whole front if you want to use it as a 3/4, which is convenient on group rides. $269 isn't too bad either. DOT/ESE certified, no Snell of course.
Beg to differ on this point. My Bell Star (not a cheap or crappy helmet by any standards) has a good bit of wind noise. It also has the best ventilation of any FF I have ever put on! I am more than happy to make that tradeoff. Air moving through a helmet is going to make noise.
With the QR windscreen off the FF is on! My 1/2 helmet turns into a sail at highway speeds...

BTW the Star has a very similar fit to the Aria (more oval than round).

What/Where did you get your FF helmet and is it light enough for you not to wear down your neck? Myu HD helmet makes me look like I hve a 1/2 melon head haha. Thanks.

BTW I am definitely going to find a store to try on first as it is hard to buy from an online dealer sight unseen. But then good deals can be had online too!

Bell Star.

It's light, comfortable, low noise but you still hear everything, excellent quality, ventilation is good, and it doesn't mash your skull. Bell helmets seem to fit better.

I have the Shoie RF-1000 (which has been replaced by the 1100.) It's the first FF I've worn and am thoroughly comfortable with it. The ventilation is very good and visibility is excellent as well. I get absolutely no buffeting at hiway speeds.
All the padding on the inside is removable for cleaning or replacement.

Don't worry, all the lettering has been removed from the jacket.

+1 on the Bell Arrow when I go FF - for me it is great fit and less than $100 Fit in a Scala Rider G4 which BT's to the iPhone and get to listen to my tunes / phone calls and very little wind. This set-up works great for me. Good luck in your search.

Shoei helmets for me most my life been down the road a few times (not in a good sense) and I cringe every time I see a half helmet skid lid, no way those are going to look after your head if you hit the road, and don't say it will never happen you ride for long enough its going to happen.
