Default Wiring inside the handlebars on apes

I just got a set of apes that are about to go on the bike next week. One question, why don't more of you with tall apes run your wiring internally?

Is it the handlebars don't have this as an option or is it something else?

Mine are ran internally. Not sure why anyone would not want to do it unless they just don't want to do the extra work.

Its more work. People are lazy/cheep. If it was easy everybody would do it.

did mine internally as well, still gotta clean up the wires where they feed back int othe backbone/frame but. any bar swap should have them done internally just makes the bike so much more cleaner looking,

I know sometimes you see this done on really nice show bikes...is it possible with you everyday handlebar swap?

All it takes is money. The stuff required to run brake lines and cables in the bars is high dollar stuff.

Would I need anything more than a extended cable kit?

For throttle you have to buy an internal throttle kit. Excile Cycles I think makes one people talk about?

For brake cable you'll need the correct angle fitting at the beginning (mc) and you'll have to drill a hole as early as you can.

Clutch cable you will have to convert to a hydraulic clutch and then do the same as brake cable.

Like Soft said, All it takes is money. Internal throttle kit and going hydraulic on clutch are both pricey.
