Motor oil for the motor.
Gear oil for the trans.
ATF for the clutch.

I never understood how a motorcycle is different than any machine where you can use the same oil in all three holes.

I have been using Amsoil in ALL my vehicles for about 14 years and no problems. I bought my 09 FXDC in June of 2010 with 3200 miles on it. Put Amsoil in from the first day and now have 27500 miles on it with no problems. And after talking with Amsoil I was told that Harley will honor the factory and extended warrenties when you are running Amsoil and show you have been maintaining the bike properly. And Amsoil says you can, under "normal" riding conditions, double the Syn3 change intervals. For me thats trans and primary once a year and engine about 7-8000 miles. Ride Safe!
