My SuperGlide Custom 2011 wobbles at 75mph on desert-baked highways with either long grooves or tar patches. It will also wobble changing lanes if you hit the 2 inch deep hole they put the reflectors recessed into the highway out here. So much so, I intentionally avoid those holes when changing lanes, makes life interesting at 75mph. Also, it tends to wobble more once I've been on the road for over 4 hours, so I'm usually on my second or third tank of gas. If I accelerate to pass a big rig, while changing lanes, snapping into grooves from construction, and hitting tar patches (I-8 or I-10) then life gets really fun. Fun to the point it feels like it's going to tank-slap.
If I'm doing 65 to 70mph in my local area on highways, freeways, or any of the like, I do not have any issues and the suspension feels rock solid. I guess once all those rubber mounts really heat up is when the fun begins.
So I decided to go for the True-Track, one of the options out there to affix parts of the engine to prevent side-to-side vibration and amplification of movement resulting in large movements at the rear tire. Riding from the shop and around town at 45mph on tar patches and the likes, I can say there is a noticeable improvement. I'm obviously not hitting any of the high-speed theatrics yet that I notice on the freeway pre-installation. However, this week I will be headed up to the Grand Canyon on the interstate system, so I will definitely take note and report back on my findings. I've been reading forum posts on the topic and they were mainly lukewarm or people said they didn't notice a change...but then again, they didn't notice a problem prior to installation either.
