I bought a set of Fat Bob trees in the classified section. They already have a stem and lower bearing installed. Looking at this diagram, I notice a dust cover/dirt guard (#33) UNDER the bearing. :


Call me crazy, but I don't see that part on my trees:






Did I fork up buying these? Do I need to remove this bearing and start over? Thanks for any help.

 

The bearing should just slide right off. You can reuse everything from your Street Bob triple trees. I did.

 

Got it off by wedging it on both sides. Thanks! I'd be screwed without this forum.
