Voltage?
Ok recently i had problems starting my bike, as some of you remember, i have a new battery, new starter and the charging system was checked. They mistakenly chenged out my starter clutch, then gave me a break and changed the stater which turns out to be another symptom because after i got it back the check engine lit up simultaneously with the battery light and they r telling me its the voltage regulator. Plus it threw me a code" u 1011" or 1101.
So does anyone know if what they are telling is right? Finally-
The posts are tight, the connects are tight the headlights are strong the batt a nd starter are new,but when i start it it just goes click clk clk clk and im 150 miles from home on sat night in the woods.

Take the end cap off the starter solenoid, turn key on ,bike in neutral. Push the button on the end of the solenoid and see if the bike starts. If it does then it could be in the solenoid it self not kicking in electrically.
Was the solenoid changed as part of the new starter? I don't know if they are a unit or seperate parts when the starter is R&R'ed. Also by using the solenoid plunger you are by- passing the start circuit, should be able to get home that way.
I got home by compression starting it Super! Only I didn't realize she was no longer charging. I was 3/4 the way home when it started wanting to die 'n stuff so I pulled over reving with 4 ways on, on the highway just over the rumble strip no less with cars flying by me, and pulled the fuse for the headlights. She ran not bad after that, i was just lucky there was no traffic and got here without burning too many stoplights!
It's charging now and i can only get a Voltage Regulator tomorrow. the service manager at the dealer told me that when the batt and chk engine lights come on simultaneously it's the VR.
Yes they put a whole new starter on it or at least that is what they told me. The code did not come up today and I don't know why.
