Looking for some input from more experienced members - I'm looking at the options K&N offers in terms of air cleaner upgrades for my FLD (and in general for the 103 engine), and I am quite surprised by the range in estimated HP gains.
I am less interested in the specific numbers than in hearing opinions on whether one a/c configuration (for instance RK-3935) could really result in almost twice as much performance gain as another one (for instance RK-3931).
Also, keep in mind, that when you start putting more air into your motor, your gonna need a way to get more air out of you motor... maybe you've already done this, but look into getting exhaust. Generally, slip on's are cheaper, but when compared to the price of a full exhaust, full exhaust makes more sense...
As far as getting your K&N, I would look else where than directly from K&N... they are stupidly expensive! the HD heavy breather runs a K&N air filter in it and is cheaper than the same setup from K&N. Also, if your looking for a round A/C, go check out DK Customs, their a sponsor on here and their full A/C kits have K&N filters in them and are like 150 bucks for the whole thing
