Here's a good tip for this...

With the springs out, put a cap on top of the fork. Rotate it gently clockwise while kinda lifting occasionally until you find the spot when the thread just bites for the first time. Place a line across the cap and the fork with a china pencil or felt-tip pen.

Now, when you have the springs in and are ready to push down on the cap, get the cap line just anticlockwise of the fork line. Push down and rotate the last bit to get the cap to bite on the thread.

Saves lots of struggling trying to find the bite point whilst pushing with all your might.

Good tip. Went to England once...Spent the whole day trying to get run over.

I think you're mistaken, we drive on the "RIGHT" side of the road, by default that makes the left side the wrong side.
