Progressive. Makes a 10" there ok but go with the heavy duty ones I got the cheaper ones and both shocks are blown. Or go to your stock and get the front end springs.
Not sure what youre talking about as far as the front springs go. I already have Progressive drop ins. The front end is fine. Its the Burlys that are beating me up. And they are 10.5s. The shortest shock Progressive makes for my bike is 11". The only models they offer are the 412s and the 430 standard and HD. I ride 2 up sometimes so I imagine I would want the 430HDs but Im wondering if that would even be an improvement in the ride over the Burlys
I have some 11" progressive 412s I'll sell you $150 shipped. They have about between 5k-6k miles on them. I ended up going to 12" street glide shocks. Initially they were the 412 heavy duties but I sent them to progressive for a spring swap to standards. So there's only like 1k miles with the standard springs. Standards were a thousand times better than the HD's. I also repainted the end covers because they were scratched up from the guy I bought them from.
My progressive 440s are pretty good in 11.5" I think they are 11.5 they are .5" lower than stock Street Bob. They are a much better ride than stock even being a little bit lower.
I agree. I have the same setup on my fxdc although i went with the HD version
I dont think you want to run lowering blocks with progressive suspension. Theres a huge big bold lettering on the box and in the paper work stating not to run lowering blocks with progressive shocks.
I've got the 11" Progressive 412 shocks and I love how they look. They ride a lot rougher than the stock shocks but having ridden a Sportser before this bike I can definately say the bike still rides better with these lower shocks than the Sportster did with it's stock shocks.
I ran eleven inch Heavy Duty Progressive 412's for years and the look is great but the ride is horrible. I finally went with 11 1/2 440's and the look is still good just not as slammed as the the 412's. The ride and handling is so much better and my back thanks me every time I ride. The price held me back for a while but I finally found a set on ebay for 350.oo shipped which I could live with.
