I am not sure about 1999 but 2000 ~ 2005 will work as I have a 2005. You will need the 300 mm rotors because of the built in raise of caliper/mounting to clear the rotor.

Yours are perfect. You have a 39mm fork with OEM twin cam calipers. Same mounting as a bagger using the same calipers. 2006 ~ current they changed the mounting to fit a 300mm rotor with the same twin cam calipers found on the older baggers.

You mean like this below? Much better and they are MMC (Metal Matrix Ceramic) material rotors that weigh in at 2.1# each. These are real Brembo's called 65mm twin pin and they require the adapters we offer to swing/convert them over to Harley old mounting & not the 2006 ~ Current Dyna.

This is a dual caliper/rotor set up. I am in the process of setting the bike up much differently with 16"dual flange (F) & standard (but 3 3/4" width rims) C/F wheels & a wideglide spacing (no steering stem rake) set of trees. It will be a 124ci, 49mm fork, 2005 Dyna with switchback bags & composite fenders.

Kind of, but I was asking about using the touring calipers with 320mm rotors on 2006+ 49mm front ends - fat bob to be specific. I gather that doesn't fit without adapters then?

I see what you mean with the brake pad overlap but that is easy to modify ..
As for the sweep i would worry if i rode with my hand on the brake 24/7 OR !! 100mph and slam the brake everywhere i went but for >ME< its a non issue.

You are correct. I do not know who makes those adapters. Member Jay Risk did a very good write up about the performance he gained doing this conversion on his bike before and after. His are done correctly and the calipers on the rotor correctly. This has to do with machining of parts. with 300mm rotors. Search button for it, a great write up.

We were thinking of using our existing adapters than making oversize 320mm rotors by 0.040" in radius which would sit perfectly in MMC. MMC is expensive and not suited for those who find as acceptable buying their parts used on e-Bay. Good luck with your search.

I think fab Kevin makes the brakets. http://www.fabkevin.com/ Another option for super light composite rotors with a lifetime warranty are the Lyndall carbon Composites that I have. I will weigh some to see total weight when I get over to the warehouse. I am curious to see if there is a difference between Howard's rotors and the Lyndall's.
