Unless you are prepared to buy a specialized one off rotor do not try this on a 2006 or above 49mm Dyna fork. If you were to look carefully before installing and measured everything before hand, you would know that the brake pads hang over the edge of the rotor. It is necessary to have a un-swepted area on the outside of the rotor keeping the rotor together during stress. Overhang the brake pads and the rotor may come apart which is not a good thing at all for you.
HD specified Brembo to extend the mounting on these dresser calipers so all fork sliders from 2000 ~ present can directly mount up one of these calipers without changing the slider design in conjunction by changing out the old style pre 2008 FLT 11 1/2" rotor to that of a 300mm rotor.
Even though the OP did not include the year of his parts, they are a single side 2006 ~ Current 49mm fork which already has a 300mm rotor because HD raised up the caliper mounts to make a old style "Twin Cam" caliper work. The OP already changed out the OEM 300mm riveted 7 pound rotor to that of a 300mm FLT rotor. Below is the results of what the OP's modification would look like. There are many posts of people who have done this modification on this and other forums. Think of what will happen when the brake pads wear down and start touching each other providing the rotor does not malfunction beforehand. Think than do.

Dunno about the 2006 and up models but I have 11.8" rotors with the bagger brembo's on my Dyna and it stops fat better than it did with the stock calipers. Is the sweep perfect? I don't know. Does this bike stop on a dime? Absolutely. I don't want to have to had an extra bracket to add different calipers. It looks kind of clunky and out of place.
