Notch in spacer

Notch in spacer

I just pulled the rear wheel on my 07 WG to have a new tire put on at the dealer. I noticed that the right side spacer has a small notch in in it, nothing is said about it in the service manual?? What the hell is that little notch for? Thanks

Already said I couldn't find it in the manual, that's why I was asking here

i believe it is installed with the notch towards the outside of the bike....either way it doesnt really matter as there is no difference on the spacer besides the notch...

Don't pet the sweaty stuff. It makes no difference so long as you get them on the correct side.
The notch is to help identify which which spacer is which if you had 2 similar spacers
