I have a 99 FXDX and am looking to put 16''s on it. Similar to the the look in the picture. ( or this link if the picture doesn't upload .... http://www.demonscycle.com/Handlebar...-p9758607.html I am having troubles finding )
I can find the bars I want but for example, these ones say Universal but when you look closer it says for FLST, FXST models. Any idea where I might be able to find these?
I really do appreciate all your help. Have a good one fellas!
few suggestions if you run those bars
1 clean all powder coat off throttle area and sand to a nice clean finish
2 elongate holes at hand controls
3 debur all holes and use the kind of chain thats on ceiling fan to pull your wires
I would light myself on fire before I would by another hunk of Chinese crap from Demons. Have you considered Roland Sands. They make those exact bars, only they add quality to the mix. Yeah, they are more money but I just wanted to give you another option.
Put a set of those demon cycle el diablos on a deluxe for a guy about 5 months ago and his only complaint so far is why he did not find these bars sooner. Oh and they sent springer style risers with them but he had no problem with exchange.
Thanks for all your help fellas. After looking at the reviews of Demons I decided to take a look at the Burly Narrow bars. Now just having trouble deciding between 14 or 16". I'd like them to come to my shoulder maybe slightly above. I'm 5'9". The grips on the Burly Narrow s look like they drop a few inches.
I looked at the full kit but I have dual disc brake on the FXDX, it's tough to find a full kit for that. I've checked with Burly and Barnett and neither make the full kit...
That is my next stop. My buddy just bought a kit from them already wired for his Road King. Super nice job from them! A little pricey but you get what you pay for.
