Interesting, but not that surprising, give that inner cam bearing 'failure' noise has been reported as squishing, clicking, tinging , whining, nada, etc in different forums and at different times. As well the old it was just the 99-00s that had an issue- they actually had a recall/courtesy cam bearing replacement, according to what I've read. Personal experience, have a friend who's '05 made no noises, seemed fine, dealer maintenance since new(?), 43K tensioner/metal debris took out oil pump, adios to engine.

You gotta look at the tensioners every 35K and as they sometimes only last 40k just replace them anyway. I took an Ultra apart that had 46875 miles on it and the inner tensioner was just about to let go, another 10 miles and it would have been toast!
