Found the obsolete and elusive 33872-00 at a dealer in IN.

33872-00 became 33872-06 in 2006, however this part as most are aware will not work on pre 2006 FXDX/T.

 

Getting my seat in this afternoon and some other small parts.

Taking the bike in to San Diego Customs for the bar install tomorrow.

 

Why doesn't you do it yourself brothers it's'pretty simple just have to have beer and a good friend and you're good to go

 

With a lot of things on my bike, I'll turn a wrench.

Bars for me is a no go. I just don't know enough.

I worked out of town for awhile, so I have the extra cash for it.

 

My seat came in yesterday, so on my lunch break I went home and threw it on. That and new plug wires. Got a couple other small items that need powdercoating.

Down the road I am going to order the seat I actually want, the Le Pera Daytona Sport with basketweave and gel.

But for now, this seat was cheap and looked a whole lot better than that Mustang that was on there.

 

Why was this part so desirable to you? Was it one of the parts you needed to convert back to mids, or was it because it is a nicer looking linkage?

The stock ball and elbow style is prone to coming apart.

 

Got the Bung King, California highway peg mounts in the mail yesterday.

Bike is at San Diego Customs getting the bars installed, as always lots of cool stuff going on over there.

 

Nice clean bike. You gonna leave it red?

 

For now yes, maybe in a couple years I may repaint it.

But I like the color, sparkles in the sun.
