I know for a fact you can get about 12-13 inches of rise out of the stock lines. I have 8" risers and sporty bars with about 4 inches of rise. Any higher and I would have had to of bent the line at the spliter. The guages were maxed out at that height. You have to remove the rubber grommet from the neck of the frame and cut the zip tie that holds the wire harness to it.
Im not sure if I understand what you mean? I was talking about the brake line. There is one upper brake line on any dual disc model. On the t sport that one upper brake line is good for about 12 inches of toal rise.
What I'm saying is that from my experience (on 2 2005 dynas) I put 4 1/2"risers with stock dyna bars on the bike and the front brake lines were tight(stretched to their limit) I don't know if the Fxdx or fxdxt's have a different line? Also the cables for the gauges and lights on the gauge mount were tight.
Fxdx and Fxdxt stock cable and wiring stretch are different. My buddy and I both have 2002 T-Sports 10" is the max you can go. It takes some stretching and you have to bend the front brake hardline at master cylinder but its pretty strait forward. He is running 10" risers and drag bars. I am running 8" risers and 2" rise V-Rod bars. Fxdx can go 2-4" taller then that. Another guy in are crew has 12" T-bars on his 2000 fxdx. All stock cables and wires.
On Bo Jangles Scoot, which I just saw your thread. Rite on looks good man!, the upper front brake line appaers to be aftermarket braided that might have been added with the taller bars it had when you got it. Not the stock metal tube out of master to rubber hose my buddy and I have.

This is awesome news! I assumed they were the same my mistake. Do you know that the gauges and wires will reach as well?
Thanks in advance and sorry about the wrong answer.
There is tons of wire for the switch housings. It is all stuffed inside of the frame so you will need to gently tug it out of there.
Not to keep hijacking el reys thread but like I said earlier and like hogpro is saying there isbplenty of wire for the guages. You have to remove the plug on the right side of the neck of the frame. The wire harness is ziptied to this rubber plug. Cut the zip tie and gently pull the harness out. Raising the tank a little helps with this. There are also some aftermarket extenders ive seen if your going real tall. But there is plenty of free wire in the frame. 8 inch risers are no problem.
