you are right the le pera seats do run narrow and provide decent leg position

I'm looking for a minimalist 2 up seat that looks cool, and is comfortable for both rider and passenger. sounds like maybe that is asking for too much.

Sounds like the sundowner might be better for you.

I have the LePera Daytona Sport and love it. They also make it in 2 up.

HD Touring or Sundowner...screw what it looks like, comfort is the key.

Good info here. Does anyone know if the C&C solo seat sits you back and lower than say a stock Harley seat. Love the look of those seats, but like you guys are saying, comfort is the main issue here. Got some Yaffe 14' monkey bars and have them pushed almost all the way forward. I like it that way but I'm wondering if going back and lower will be stretching a bit more that I want too.

I replaced my stock seat with the mustang wide tripper seat with backreast I am able to ride all day, something about the backrest can tell the difference when the backrest is not in use.

Find a company to size you up on your bike and rebuild your current seat. Same price as a new seat and this will be custom fit to your size/weight/bike.

Cant beat that.

My spine is pretty messed up also from my time in the corps.
I didn't want a fugly looking backrest on my seat, I ended up going with a C&C fastback.
It looks slick and gives some good lower back support. It's not the softest thing in the world but it's a long way from terrible.
