Since I've installed the Dynojet Power Vision and open a/c I have noticed a tinking, tinging, pinging whatever you want to call it noise when rolling on the throttle. Thought it was my rattling gas cap but have ruled that out. Sounds like its coming from the front head but could be in the throttle body a/c area. Anybody know what this could be? Just remember tinking or pinging when accelerating fairly hard.
If the noise is truely pinging, and that's what it sounds like to me from your description, it's probably the result of some additional timing advance in your PV map.
I'm not familiar with the PV tables or how to adjust them so I can't help you there. My experience is with the PCV.
But if I were you I'd be looking at the timing tables.

If the timing is too far advanced octane will cure it. Find the highest octane possible, add a cup of xylene or toluene then listen to see if ping persists. If it does then the map needs adjusted,if it doesn't then the map needs adjusted. This method will just pinpoint the issue for you.
I agree with the timing tables remarks. It is hard to just take out timing without knowing exactly where the pining occurs, but it is however common with the PV. You shall have to learn how to use the software and it is complex at the start. If you bought it from fuel moto then Jamie will need three datalogs and he is quite good at tuning. If you got it from somewhere else and are on your own then call dynojet, it will take some time, but they will be able to help you and they have a number of good teks who will set you up right over the phone.
Also ther is a wealth of info on our own forums if you follow this thread :

If you're talking about what rpm the ping occurs its in the upper end, I'd say it starts from about 3600 on. I did get the PV from Fuel Moto and I'm sure we will get it worked out, they are good folks.

Mine was the same - higher range. But I have cheated now and went and bought the dynojet autotune kit. It really kix azz!
get a few datalogs together for jamie as that is wht he will require from you in order to fine tune your timing tables.
