please help, need cam advice
here is the deal. I have a 2012 Street Bob, with 21,900 miles on it. Motor is a stock 96ci stage 1, bassani 2 into 1 road rage, and PCV.
My compensator came loose, stripped the fly wheel, took it in under warranty and Harley will take care of the problem 100% free. They have to take apart the entire motor and split the cases.
So I have the option to get a 103 stage 2 upgrade for the price of parts, no labor. I think I like the 211 cams, most my riding is on the freeway at high RPMs.
I have read many forums about the 211 cams, should I get the higher compression pistons or use the 103 pistons that come on the kit? I read the 211 lags under 3,000 RPMs with the stock 96 compression. I need to figure this out ASAP. Keep in mind in the near future I will more than likely put SE heads on the bike. The harley Tech says the High Compression pistons wont make a difference. But will install what ever pistons I choose.
1.Do any of you guys have a 103, high compression pistons, and 211 cams?
2.Do I need the Hi-Comp piston kit if so which compression pistons?
3. Will the 103/cams be a big noticeable difference?
