Thanks everyone noted....im going for a bobber look... im thinking the 3.25 as well.. anyone have any suggestions on wheels. Ive searched a few post and everyone says to buy a 21" 40 spoke wheel and lace it to your hub ...any opinions?
As stated, you need to decide what size front tire you want to run, a wider 120 or a narrower 80 or 90. I would think the 120 will handle a little better, but I'm running a 90/90/21 and have no complaints. I prefer the look of the narrower setup.
There's a few threads on here about lacing a different rim to your existing hub. The advantage to the wider rim is as the center drop is greater you can use your existing spokes, with the narrower rim you need to buy new spokes, which adds about $100.
This is nothing but a thought.
My wife has a 2010 wide glide with a 21x3.25 black powered coated with silver spokes. See in Sig...
she wants to go to a wider front tire, I think if my research is correct a 140 is the largest that will fit.
so, we are thinking about selling the front wheel, possibility the rear which matches.
It uses a 180 low profile tire.
