Just to bring this thread back around to where it started, where are Dynas and Sportsters assembled. I'm kinda new to this game and would like to know.
I don't think it matters whether your union or non union, or whether the job is union or non union. What matters is how much pride you put into your work. There are good companies and bad, good unions and bad. If I don't get treated right then there are other jobs to look for, be they union or not. I don't believe that union workers are better than non union workers or non union workers are better than union workers. It all depends on who the worker is and how much pride he has in his work.
Unions made the middle class. If I didn't want a pension, health insurance, or good working conditions in general I would go rat. I'm not ready to suck my bosses dick for raises just. IBEW 1141 Oklahoma City.
I agree with you hep0950. I was always taught that if you do a job, make sure that it was done the right way. That way you can say you put your heart in it.
Local 777 Steamfitter here. I say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. You want to make less money while your CEO gets his multi million dollar bonus for running the company into the groundthen goes after your benefits to make up the difference, that's your deal. I work hardand I expect to get paid for it. What does that mean to me? A better life for my family, something that used to be called the American Dream. Maybe that's not politically correct anymore, but neither am I. What's the UAW's problem? Health care. Who's fault? Insurance (big business) andour government for forcing us to pay for all the illegal immigrants health care. Speaking of illegal immigrants, guess who all the open shops around here like to employ? I knowHD's are overpriced, but Ibuy becausethey're made in this country. That's something I believe in. I don't care what you drive, or what excuse you make for it. When they go to Mexico or China, I buy a Victory.
Having waded through this one as well as the two that were on the Chat Forum, I'm locking this one down, too. Y'all wanna talk poly-ticks, aka union vs non-union, take it to PROD and the thread and two polls that are there.
That said, some of y'all are crossing the line by the personal attacks on members, be they union or not. Y'all are gettin' a pass on it this time 'cause we screwed up by lettin' these things go too long without steppin' in. Considre this a general warning to tone down any language that may be construed as a personal attack on someone or on their beliefs.
