neck bearings have me frustrated.

Do you have a welder, or have a friend with one? I have done this countless times to remove races on necks and tons of other applications on cars/trucks/machinery etc... You can do it with a MIG welder but it is a lot easier & cleaner with a TIG. Weld a bead directly on a couple spots of the race and most times it will literally fall out. I usually weld a bead on two "1/4s" of the race directly across from each other.

Also... when reinstalling the new races, put them in the freezer for 30 minutes or more, until you're ready to install them. Take the cold races out of the freezer and install them. They will drive back in place much easier.

you aint gonna pound them out with no screwdriver or punch. the way they sit in the head tube there is nothing to get a bite of . if u don't got a welder , save your frame from damage and get the tool ( I've been there ) . maybe u can go in it together with a few friends
