new here and already have ? want topowdercoat wheelswaswoundering about feedback the bike is a 06 streetbobandwaspowdercoatingsome other parts so what about wheels? need to do whole wheel or just rim? thanks for any feedback
Welcome to the forum!
There have been a few of us who have done this and had success with it. Here is a thread I did on how I did mine. I only did the rims because it was much easier if you ask me then trying to get the hubs all apart and well then having new bearings installed because I would only do it with new bearings. https://www.hdforums.com/m_1037514/tm.htm
Here is the thread I did with my red rims and whitewall tires (painted on) https://www.hdforums.com/m_1222379/tm.htm
I wish you good luck!
Not a bit. i have only had it for a couple months, but so far has held together great. I have had alot of things powder coated for my Mustang and have never had any problems except when you have your rims done and take them to Les Schwab tire service people and the guy working the gun is not paying attention and basically hammers my rim in one spot putting a very small scratch in it. Other than this I have never had any problems and as you can see I have my Mustang wheels are powder coated and have alot of miles on them and nothing is wrong with them. So I do not thinkg that I will have any problems with the bike rims.
