hard to belive i will ever ride again. snow up to my door here in ohio. started my bob the other day,it had been a month, hard to belive what efi does.other bikes i owned would not even start when it got this cold !!!! so cold and nasty,i belive i just take off work tomorrow .. use a few of my earned sick days . need to save a few weeks for summer ride time tho for sure . hey, march is close, that is ride time !!
you guys lucky to be where thee is not bad winter weather .
Not a lot of snow up here near Toronto, but it's damn cold out there. I've actually had to 'halt' some of the custom stuff on the bike... the inner/outer primary are going chrome, and while I'm at it, forward controls are going on. Glad I got the pipes on before the cold snap hit. Just as well, if I got any more done I'd find something else to do... pipes, PCIII, K&N filter, inner/outer primary, headlight visor, motherwell rack... and the soon-to-be-painted tank and fenders are not even here yet...
Dyin' for it to warm up. Even if it's just enough to tolerate the garage...
I feel for ya, Voyager. I lived in Ohio for a long time and finally got tired of the snow and moved to AZ. By March I was fit to be tied. Just wanted GET OUT of the house and ride. So I appreciate it even more down here. There is NOTHING like riding year round. Love the Buckeyes and still root for 'em but I ain't movin' back!
Finally got a ride in yesterday afternoon, it was 65 degrees here in Joplin MO. Hadn't started it in a month and I was wondering if it would even turn over. I keep it in an unheated garage, it gave a grunt and busted off. Oh yeah, there has been about six inches of ice on my driveway and it finally got melted enough that I could break it up and get one side clean, so I could get the bike out.
Voyager, just down the road from you in Hamilton, winter sucks. Ihave all the stuff to do my stage1 but no heat in the garage so just have to sit and look out the window for a few more weeks. sooner or later it will warm up, so hang in there.
