Default Somebody guide me in the RIGHT direction!!!

I am about to buy some 95" jugs and pistons. The pistons are se cast 10.25cr. I've read so many threads that my head is spinning. My plan was to use se204 or 37's but from what Ive read, this combo will be too much compression for these cams... The bike gets rode religiously during the "riding months"(mostly 2up) so I dont want to have to deal with pinging and hard starts!! Im not doing anything with the heads,so comp releases are out of the question. Are the 211's better or different pistons or what??? I want to stay with cast pistons also. Im puzzled... Any help is very much appreciated. the bike is a 99wg by the way

Im sure this subject has been beat to death

The SE203's are for a simple swap when you want to keep all else stock. You just wont get any power from them. You can use them in a 95TC set up and they'll run fine, but then why are you doing a 95" kit then? I'd recommend the SE211 with the 10.25:1 pistons. I'v seen this set up in allot of bikes getting good power that you can ride on. Like 500mi to 2000mi trips without prob, at least in EFI bikes. You'll be wanting a pair of heads in no time.

That set up will give you a good mid range curve, low end is decent, and top is alright. I wouldn't worried about low range unless your trying to do wheelies or smoke people at stop lights.

Talk to Scott at Hillside. He is building a 98" kit for me. 9.8 CR to go with the Andrews 37 cams. No head work yet as I can't afford it. I think 10.25CR is too much without the releases.

He'll be able to tailor the pistons to your set-up instead of getting a box kit from S&S or SE or someone. Is what he is doing for me. They are a sponsor in here. I talked to him last week, told what I was doing, and he told me how we could get to where I wanted to go without selling me stuff I don't want or need. Great guy to chat with. They had write ups in both American Iron and Hot Bike. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Default 211s

I had 211 cams in my bike a few years ago along with hc pistons. No head work or compression releases...The power (torque) band started about 2k and went to about 5.5k. They will work well for 2up riding.

I use 211's in my '03 E Glide with 10.5:1 forged pistons. Not sure why I went with forged but they are working well for me. You need to make sure the cam, heads and pistons work together. Attached is a spreadsheet I compiled from the 2004 H-D Big Book.
