I am going to mount a Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather on my new 2013 Superglide custom. The primary reason is the width of the aircleaner bugs me and I don't feel safe when going for the rear brake.
I know all about the remapping. I had a supertuner installed. My question is that there is a little wire with a connector that hooks onto the backing plate for botg the stock aircleaner and also the Screaming Eagle aircleaner back plate that goes under the stock cover. What is this wire and what do you do with it when you install a heavy breather. I see nothing in the installation instructions that deals with it.
The bike is a good old USA version purchased brand new from a Washington State Harley dealer.
If is the same connector that I have on my 2012, it doesn't do a thing. It is just a dead end connector with a protective cap over it. I just tucked it between the harnesses running to the injectors to keep it from hanging out.
