03 fxdl progressive front fork spring swap questions

Just did this last fall before the bikes were put away. Drain the fork oil thru the bottom drain scew. Lift the front just so the wheel is off the ground, loosen upper pinch bolts on the upper tree. Cover the gas tank and fender. In my case the handle bars came off (02 FXD) loosen the fork cap, keep in mind it's under a spring preload. The oil replacement works out to 10.7 ozs., 11 will work. I used Bel Ray 10w. Easy job for a competent mech.
