I think he's brackets look very abstract and more for function rather than looks. They are to bulky. I personally think he messed up a good bike. But then again my wife says the same thing about mine.
Well, you'll never guess who I just saw. I just saw this guy riding in a group, probably heading to Leesburg. He was going East on SR54 way up in my neck of the woods. I was waiting to pull out of a parking lot (in my car) and he rode past. Too bad I couldn't get a better look, but I don't think the crash bar was on there. It looked good at a glance.
I could tell it was a springer from a distance, but I could tell the front forks were not normal even from way far off so that's probably the only reason I kept looking at it as it approached. At about 50 yards, I could tell it was that twisted wrinkle black stuff and I knew it was our guy. I saw the tall sissy bar (not my style, but it looked great) and the pinstriping on the rear fender. I saw the right side, so I didn't get a look at the shifter stuff.
I'll be heading over there myself in another few hours so maybe I'll be able to find it and get a picture.
Personally, I think if y'all are going to comment on his bike, at least have the descency to invite him to this phorum where he can hear(read) what you have to say.

I don't want this to come out all wrong, but I don't think I understand. It's a public forum, nothing secretive or behind someone's back. I don't agree with every comment made, but I don't see the issue. There have been some negative comments made about my bike before too. On the internet, I don't expect people to "say it to my face" or hold their tongue.
I'm not trying to start anything or derail this thread, I'm just a bit confused. If you are justsaying thatpeople should be a little nicer in how they say things, I understand and I personally try to be tactful or not comment at all. But it's obvious from a LOT of threads on here that many people don't feel that way and that's OK too.
Also, I would be very surprised if he hasn't read this thread already. I'm sure he is well aware of HDForums. I doubt he has his feelings "hurt" as there are just as many kudos as criticisms in here. If you do something radical, that's exactly what you expect to get: mixed reactions.
wow, now you can say that is one bob that stands out alone from one another. love the creative mind, that thought of the idea. i guess if you have the money and the idea and time, why not make it stick.

Kevin
You didn't come out wrong, maybe I did.
My pheeling is that snatching a guy's pix of his bike, posting them some where else, invites comments, pro & con. He didn't ask phor our opinion, pro or con, so the decent thing to do is let him know people are commenting on his bike by inviting him here, don't just assume he knows about this place. Allow him the chance to thank people phor the compliments or discuss the criticisms.
I'm not trying to say people should be nice or not say anything at all.
Just read some of the posts, its just a thought, but it was my first thought after reading the first couple of posts.............so its a true thought....................I dont care for the mods made either, I dont think they are ..........as someone has said "fugly", they are just not my style...........I would never be that critical of someones ride, I dont care for the mods but his ride has nothing to do with me, I do LIKE his mods because he has chosen to do them that way,and thats where this is all at..........it means to me he has his own style and his own individuality and that is what I LIKE about his mods................so I suppose if he was to ask me what I personally thought Id have to say............kewl job dude !!
