Just wanted to update everyone... Spoke to Kyle over at Progressive Suspension and he said there's definitely something wrong. He states they should be able to easily turn by hand. They created an RMA for me to get them replaced.

Did you get a chance to ride it? How are the 444s? I want to go with a little lower shock on my WG (I think mine are 12.5?) but want a decent ride if possible...

Hey man.. no I did not ride using the shocks yet. Because I couldn't even get them adjusted properly, I did not want to chance riding and using them in case they needed to be exchanged or returned.
So far Progressive's been great to deal with so far and seem to be standing behind their product, which is great. Once they receive the defective shocks back they are going to send me out a new set.
Once I get them back and get them on and can test them I'll post back here for you.
