Hello all, I may have a dumb question here, but can I use one of the older V&H Fuelpak (From a guy with a 2008 Dyna) units on a 2013 Fat Bob? Or do I have to use the newer "LCD" version?
Followup question, is it worth even using one with a stage one setup? Right now I have the basic ECM map.
Any info is appreciated! Cheers!
G
Edit: I have contacted V&H, still waiting to hear back, but I want to make sure I am just not getting a "sellers" answer. Thanks!
I did my stage one yesterday 2/15/2013 and I will say after riding my bike that is the way to go if you just put pipes and air cleaner and are not going to work on the motor. Everything the v@h says about it is correct in my opinion I love it on my bike.

Ah but the problems with fuelpaks take a little while to kick in. The ECU and O2 sensors will trim the AFR back to stock in closed loop, undoing the changes made by the fuelpak.
Give it a few days. You might find its not quite so good by then.
I've put about 200 miles on bike since I installed fuelpak back in Jan. Haven't noticed any change back toward stock.
You might not. Depends how you ride to some extent.
Stock AFR for closed loop isn't really a big problem anyway; might get hot and you might have some surging issues but could be fine. And, of course, the open loop will still be rich, so you'll have the performance boost still when you crack it open.

So you are saying it is much better to go with a Mastertune kind of thing in place of a Fuelpak, Powercommander, etc? Still trying to figure out what is what. So many different opinions out there. But a Mastertune and Dyno would be the best way to tune?
