Bought my 05 DWG used about 2-3 weeks ago. Thinking the rear suspension may be riding a little squirly at times. Thought about adjusting the shocks to see if anything changes. What is the pre-load set at stock? Mine are both at '2'. Also, I measured the unladen height at the rear as 23 1/4" at the center of the top shock bolt with the bike standing level. Can I bother any '00-08 DWG owners, that have stock shock set up, to measure what they have?
I weigh about 205 lbs and wonder if I should bump up the pre-load. I'd like to get my wife on the back eventually (she's not really into the motorcycle thing) so that would set rider weight about 325 lbs.
Yeah, the OM has 26.8" for the seat height. Only problem is, I don't have the stock seat on the bike. I took measurement where it should be easier to compare between bikes.
