I'm hoping someone on here has one of these on their 2012 FXCD. If not I'm stuck and can't get my bike back together until they open on Monday.
On the directions it says to tie into the grey/purple wire on my TPS. Well, I don't have a grey/purple wire.
I have 3 wires and according to my HD manual they are:
Red/white..... Hot wire
Black/white... Ground wire
Green/purple..TPS
I guess the factory has changed wire colors since they had written their directions. I assume I supposed to use the Green/purple. However I'm not one to just assume when it comes to my bike.
There was a post about this in another thread,, and yes they apparently changed the colors. Hook into the purple wire and u should be fine. I'll see if I can find that other post for u.
Thanks again. I got done with the install and got eveything back together. I just started it up in the basement and let it run a bit. It's the difference of daylight and dark! I really am amazed. I can't wait to get it out and ride.
Not sure if it piggybacks or flashs or what, but I can tell it's gonna run like a scalded dog! lol I'm happy.
I assume that this is a piggybacked device? not a flash unit?
Yes it's a piggyback. Unplug your fuel injectors, plug in the device where fuel injectors plugged in. Tie in a wire to the throttle position sensor & unplug the O2 sensors took me about 30 minutes
