I know you'll lov'em....................I ordered mine when I ordered the bike.........are you gettin the boards....................lets see some pics when youre done..........love to see those boards next to those red wheels............................................ ........LO................................
I have mids and highway pegs. I thought about going to forwards, but really do not have a need for them. I down shift & brake with my heels, so about the only time I have my foot on the mids is to up shift or if I am changing foot positions
This is what I do also, except my foot is big enough to up shift also, the right type of boot heal helps to though.
Lolife,
Yes I do plan on getting the boards. As soon as I get the forwards on, the sissy bar, boards, pass seat by mustang and the new 1959-1960 tank emblems on I will post pic, with the red rims and whitewalls. Dam, just when you think you have what you want on the bike, someone post a pic and blam, new idea(s) and well there goes the "I'm done" theory. Ha HA Oh well, thank goodness for tax return time.
Hello to you all from England. Forward's or Mid's or Highway Pegs on your Dyna? Not even up for discussion as far as I'm concerned but then I am 6 feet 7 inches tall. After suffering for a few months with the standard mid controls on my 35th Anniversary I got hold of a set of Highway Pegs. Within 10 days I had the full forward control kit fitted, end of. My mate George has the Mid's and the pegs on his 03 Dyna Sport and swears by the set up but then he does'nt witness the constant foot boogie he's engaged in on the open road when we go on a rideout.
I'm 6'4", and I'm perfectly happy with the mids... but then, I consider my Super Glide sort of a big Sporty, anyway...
For some reason, I'm more comfortable with my feet under me. Maybe it's my dirtbike/sportbike background.
The other thing is, every time I've tried out a buddy's bike with forwards, it doesn't agree with my back, for some reason. I get a huge back-ache after 30 minutes.
I'll use the mids until my knees don't bend anymore.
