Whatever they would charge would be too much. It was an easy swap. The only thing that may be tricky is if you are wanting to remove the mid shift shaft. I just left mine in place. No problems

+1 on doing it yourself. I left mid shift shaft on and capped it off. But I put on footboards.

+1 Puff & Jay
Expect at least two hours labor, even if they don't remove the inner primary cover. At least three if they do.

Installation is easy and removing the mid shift lever isn't difficult. You can do it without removing the inner primary cover. I did it the way the guy did in the video below, except I used a saws-all to make it faster. The whole process was about 90 minutes.

Do it yourself, feel good about it, and spend the extra cash on new chrome or tools.

IF you really aren't comfortable doing it yourself, I'd try to find a good local Independant shop that could do it. At least the labor would be cheaper. Where I am, it's 75 vs. 99.00 at dealer.

Hey Jaystn62,

Where did you get the cap to cover up the old mid shifter?

install it your self its really not that bad. it may sound intimidating but its not. take maybe a couple hours if you take your time. If you can dodge a wrench you can install forward controls... or something like that. lol
