That emulsion tube you described sounds like a dynojet jet kit emulsion tube, i bet the hole in the slide has been drilled too.... A lot of times even woth a new accelerator pump diaphram the pump still doesnt work, if yougive it gas and there is no fuel spraying from brass tube then take the float bowl off and shake it, you should hear a little check ball rattling around, if not its froze up and needs to be free to work properly.... If that makes any sense

The service guy here did not know why that emulsion tube was in there. There hasn't been any motor work done on it and only has the screaming eagle slip ons. I didn't check if the whole in the diaphragm slide had been drilled or not, I went ahead and bought a new one anyway and put it in just so I know everything is fresh. That makes sense too, there is fuel spraying. Just a matter of getting that needle jet in there and the new emulsion tube and we should be good to go.

Got it running! Had it out today for the first time, put about 20 miles on it. The needle jet and main jet came in this morning so threw it all together and tuned it. I love it already. While I was waiting for the needle jet to come in, I went ahead and threw the kuryakyn extended forward controls on. I am 6'4 270 and they fit great. I couldn't be happier with it. Like I said, it only has 3400 miles on it and runs like its brand new. Thanks again for all of the help. I have already used this forum a lot for insight on how to install the forward controls and all kinds of carb trouble shooting. You guys are awesome. Now to get out in this nice weather and ride. 77 and sunny here in Mankato tomorrow!

Another thing you can do is try some SeaFoam and add it to your gas.... This stuff works!!!!

Good job.

You say you replaced the needle along with the emulsion tube, right?

As someone else said, that sounds like a Dynojet emulsion tube, and if you swap back to stock you should take the needle back to stock too.
