Default does the bike need an alignment?

Long story short...got the top end off my bike , I was looking at the rear tire and noticed it looks crooked!! So I'm like wtf!?? Its literally almost touching the fender on the left side and looks like the top of the wheel needs to come over to the right side...\ sorta looks like that, but not that bad..I put drop shocks on it, but I have the same ones on my other convertible. Any ideas on why its doing that? I read somewhere that if you remove the top engine it throws everything out of whack. The second pic is the left side of the bike,(tilt your head to the right)..LOL and the 3rd pic is the right side of the bike, same bolt, but HUGE gap!

Yeah. That doesnt look right. Measure your axle centerline to the end of your adjusters on both sides. I used a wooden dowel. Slid it through the axle and used a straight edge off of the head of the adjuster screw. Measure both sides a few times and and adjust as needed. Just make sure you adjust in half turn increments because adjusting one side, throws off the other.

I think I got it figured out spankdog..If I sit on the bike(no top end) and twist the engine to the right, it straightens the wheel out....I "guess" it because I took the top mount off. It's Only thing I can think of.But if I put my left hand on the bottom of the primary and my right hand on the transmission and twist the engine, everything is cool...weird!!

Yeah, the top mount is kinda critical to alignment.
