Well I've sat in my garage for hours for days on end thinking what I want to do with my 2008 Street bob and this is my conclusion. I'm about tired of the bobbed look and since my bike is paid off it's time for a major transformation on it. I've decided that it's time to go Bagger style!!! I'm not talking about buying a set of FLH bags and mounts and fitting them close and all that jazz. I'm talking full on fiberglass rear end, making my on set of bags that damn near look like they are part of the fender and also glassing up a set of custom battery and fuse box cover. Oh and yeah definitely putting it on air ride. I've done extensive searching for anything close to what I'm hoping to achieve and have yet to find anything. Wish me luck guys, I'll post updates as I head into this wild journey of having a complete one off Dyna.
Sounds like a post to follow. Dynas are not the most cool of bikes until you do something others have not. We convert to baggers and whine about windshields. We whine about the way bags look and then put giant bags on. We complain about cagers not seeing us and we remove our lights. Keep us posted.
I had been thinking the same thing for my wide glide. One solid piece slammed in the rear, molded and flowing out the back, just a real fluid look and feel to it all.
In the end I really like how my bike is now, so I'm not going to do it, but I would love to see it done, and maybe get another bike to do it to down the road.
I'll be watching this thread as I think it's gonna look kick *** in the end.
