We recently purchased my wife a Dyna Street Bob. She loves it, but because she is only five feet tall, we had it lowered, new handle bars and a reduced reach seat to fit her better.
The only issue left is that the battery box is a little wide and stops her from being able to back up comfortably.
My question is, is there a way to relocate or reduce the width of the battery box so it won't hit her in the legs as much as it currently does?
You could try a thinner cover, maybe even a smaller battery and modify the box.
Not much extra cargo space on the SB.
Bigger seat to get the leg out more. Mustang?
Mustang seat won't do it, they get narrow up front sometimes I have to be careful not to poke the inside of my leg on the corner of the batt box. I think there is about .5" empty inside the box, my charger chord has lots of room with the fuse to hang between the battery and the inner side of the box. remove the cover and have her try to sit and back up with it. If it's good work from there.
or just be a better husband and do a trike rear end for her,i love short girls so if your tradeing up ill take off her off your hands buddy (only Joking)

Thanks in advance for any alternatives.
Yes, instead of sitting back in the seat and trying to walk it back, have her slide up the seat closer to the gas tank and then try walking it back. Worked for me.
Check Rocket Bobs website. He makes a conversion that lets you put the same type of cover on the battery side as is on the electrical(left) side. Warning its expensive, but he makes great stuff.
