Default A/C Info Needed

I just ordered NESS SS STAGE II SUCKER KIT part #402-429. I have Vance & Hines 2 into 1 slip-on on the bike. Question is when I change the stock A/C will I need to have a Dyno done or just add a powervision P2 tuner? What effects will I see just changing the A/C by its self? Thanks ahead of time.

Tim

Dyno tune not necessary but a programmer is. You might notice slight power increase with the tuner. Doing a dyno tune will guarantee power in crease but can cost a bit. From my understaing the fuely bikes a pretty corked up from the factory.

people will say that when doing exhaust and ac that a tune is not needed. I dont agree. At a minimum I would add some Vied's. A dyno is ideal but not necessary

Running the AN A/C and the V&H pipes, you will get a small benefit in power, and some extra heat with no tuner.

The FL-ViED-10's or the FL-XiED-10's will give you a nice bump in power and smoothness in acceleration, they will also keep the heat down as well and get you running a richer, which is better since they are so lean from the factory.

Click HERE for more info on them.

Here's a chart to give you an idea of the benefit.

If you want a full tuner, I don't think you can do better than the Power Vision from fuel moto. It has auto-tune basic as part of the package, and will give you a better tune than the majority of tuning done with Dyno's.

Secondary question I think I am going with the power vision tuner but does it void you warranty on the bike? The Dealer tech told me if it is not the Screaming eagle race tuner and dyno it could void the warranty is this true? 500.00 beats almost 800.00 to the dealer.

The PV is a great choice. If I had a warranty issue that I knew was not related to the PV, I would just reflash the original tune to the ECM, take the PV off the bike and head to HD.

You know the AN stage 2 A/C on your bike will do nothing extra over the stage 1 apart from look big, right?

when I change the stock A/C will I need to have a Dyno done or just add a powervision P2 tuner?
Depends what you mean by "need". Will it break the bike? No. Will it run hot and you won't get the best power? Yes.

If you add a tuner like the PV, SEPST or TTS and use a canned map you will get 95% of the best tune without paying for dyno time. If you want to sweat the small stuff then go the extra mile and get it dyno tuned too.
