OK so I just downloaded a map to my 06 wide glide. The only issue is I could not find one that was similar to mine... The closest one I found was the CAA176-03 which calls for a 1580 stage 2 and 25 injectors as well as a 2 into 1 exhaust. I have a 1450 with Andrews 37 cams short shots and heavy breather. I took it around the block and is running great, however I haven't done the Vtune runs yet because it is raining.
Basically what I am asking is this going to hurt my bike? or does anyone else know of a better starting map?
If its running good it isn't going to hurt your bike.
There is a TTS mastertune sticky post on this site that could answer your questions much better...some of the best tuners in the world visit that section
The TTS took me a bit of screwing around with to understand it. I tried some tweeks that went well, and some where I wondered if I should push the girl home before she exploded or something. I finally dug into the thread on this site and there a link with a ton more starting calibration maps than the TTS software comes with. Ill dig aeound and see if I can find that link and shoot it your way. I had to get my starting cal from it as the delphi listing didnt come close. It's somewhere in the tts thread towards the beginning I think. Now my 06 FXDBI is one bad little terrorist and runs like a champ. I tried the PC prior and would have done better taking that money to the tittie bar. Glad I switched to the Mastertune.
