I thought about getting a 883 for my wife, but thats what i'm telling her. i want it to give me something esle to ride that is small and gets very good mpg. whats the mpg on a 883 vs 1200? i also thought about getting a honda rebel or shadow, because they are cheap and do hold up.
Kept the sport bike, never have I nor never would I own/ride/be seen in a sportster... Ever.
Probably never met a Sporty that could blow you away in the straights AND twistys both. Still got my Iron, FXDC, and FLSTFB. You always regret selling your toys
I already owned an 09 1200C Sportster..came across a sweet deal a couple of months ago on a 2003 DYNA Wide Glide 100th Anninversary and yep, they both are now in my stable. Like everyone says "there is something about a Sportster"

I was looking through some of the pictures on this forum and in a couple of shots I saw the Dyna with a Sportster in the background.
If you have a Dyna (or even a Softail), why would anyone keep a Sportster?
The Dynas have bigger motors, ride better, and are nearly just a nimble..
I at some point would like to go the other direction. I currently have a street bob, but at some point i would like to have a nightster 1200 as a back up for when my dyna is down.
